This YAP (YOUTH ANIMATION PLATFORM) animation workshop is a hands-on introduction to the world of animation in general, and stop motion in particular. The participants will learn all the elements required to make a short animated clip, including story writing, set building, character making and animating using cut out, silhouette or puppet animation mainly.
A workshop designed to teach women with no prior filmmaking experience the fundamentals of operating a video camera and producing short films. Its objective is to facilitate a dialogue among women from various backgrounds through the medium of short video correspondences.
Join us for a special vocal training and competition workshop designed specifically for seniors, led by the renowned artist Jahida Wehbe. In this workshop, participants will receive professional vocal training and guidance to enhance their singing skills and performance abilities.
The workshop will focus on practicing a specific song, which will be performed by the participants in the closing ceremony of REEF on the third of September.
The workshop aims to employ various artistic and expressive tools, including creative writing, sensorial physical movement, and nature walks, to encourage participants to share stories related to our bodies, nature, land, and environment.
Through this process, we will critically examine our physical, social, and political connections to the changing environment.
TRANSFORMATIONS
We are seeking international films that shine a light on the many "transformations" occurring around the world as a result of the climate crisis such as water and land crises, as well as stories related to demographic or social changes, or any other aspect of that matter. These transformations may include both positive and negative changes, disruptions, and destruction of nature's cycles.

Starting off REEF2023 by introducing our short film competition themed around TRANSFORMATIONS in collaboration with AFLAMUNA.
Participants are invited to create a short film with a maximum of 15 minutes to be screened during REEF 2023.
